The Boston Celtics are now just one win away from completing one of the most dominant seasons in NBA history. The Celtics took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Mavericks with a 106-99 win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Dallas on Tuesday night.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics, scoring 26 and 24 points respectively. Tatum also grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out six assists. Brown added seven rebounds and four assists.
Kristaps Porzingis led the Mavericks with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Luka Doncic added 20 points and eight rebounds.
The Celtics held the Mavericks to just 35.7% shooting from the field and 25.0% shooting from three-point range. The Celtics also forced 15 turnovers.
The Celtics can clinch the NBA championship with a win in Game 4 on Friday night in Dallas. The Mavericks must win Game 4 to avoid a sweep.
